acrylic on canvas by Mary S Hines ....I used a
black & white photo as a ref (was the only kind of photo available, as it was taken in
1906) ...& as I painted it I added colors that I thought were appropriate for it...I spent
app 300 hours on the detailing of the building & the people's faces & clothes (the
original was app 4'x31/2')......I sold the original painting back in 1992 & the scan that I got
before selling it lost a lot of the detail. Really enjoyed painting this one.
